We are delighted to invite you to EABC Luncheon on "New Policy Development: Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) For Thailand, A Way Towards Sustainability" on Wednesday, 25 October 2023, 11.30AM – 14.00PM at the Athenee Hotel.
The concept of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) has gained significant momentum worldwide as a key policy tool for sustainable product management within the context of the green economy. EPR extends the responsibility for environmental protection of producers that includes the entire lifecycle of product management, from production to post-consumer disposal. Recently, Thailand, led by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, launched a draft bill on sustainable packaging management, expected to be enforced in the next couple years.
This EABC Luncheon aims to facilitate a comprehensive discussion on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and its potential role in Thailand's sustainable management strategy. It brings together key stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to explore the concept, share experiences, and pave a way towards more responsible and sustainable management practices in Thailand.
